An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Armenteros in the 14th minute of play forced Avanzada's goalkeeper Urtun Corrillos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Almaguer took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urtun Corrillos. Urtun Corrillos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Calderón Altemiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Castro Coque, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Sergio Bolaños fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calderón Altemiz having to interfere. If Ruperto Armenteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Avanzada getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zadornin Homar hit a great ball. Sergio Bolaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Calderón Altemiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Diego Arambula came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Avanzada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Arambula couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wellington Dominguez during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Gerinoma:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wilmer Mediano walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Gerinoma's zone, Diego Arambula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calderón Altemiz came out of the goal and Diego Arambula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergio Bolaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Calderón Altemiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Gerinoma were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruperto Armenteros to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Sergio Bolaños managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avanzada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Bolaños was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yánez Ordoñez kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gerinoma's zone, Diego Arambula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calderón Altemiz came out of the goal and Diego Arambula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Orfilio Alberca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urtun Corrillos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Wilmer Mediano kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Orfilio Alberca came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Urtun Corrillos could save by the left post. If Orfilio Alberca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orfilio Alberca might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urtun Corrillos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orfilio Alberca ran back to his position shaking his head. After 87 played minutes, Gerinoma's Marlon Cernadas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Urtun Corrillos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gerinoma reached it. A collision led to Avanzada getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Castro Coque hit a great ball. Urtun Corrillos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Armenteros's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Ruperto Armenteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urtun Corrillos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
