The supporters of CD Curusapal booed when UD Shinshun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvarez Almaraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes in the game, Xulio Meruelo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 6th minute, Jorge Abarca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xulio Meruelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Poroso Tellez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xulio Meruelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poroso Tellez having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Carnero Zurica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Curusapal's zone, Walter Lerena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valerio Barba came out of the goal and Walter Lerena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xulio Meruelo in the 35th minute of play forced UD Shinshun's goalkeeper Poroso Tellez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poroso Tellez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xulio Meruelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Santos struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Poroso Tellez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Curusapal. UD Shinshun's Poroso Tellez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carnero Zurica in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Lerena got free with Valerio Barba in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaviedes Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaviedes Rey to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Walter Lerena managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Shinshun's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Lerena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valerio Barba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Shinshun's goalkeeper Poroso Tellez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jorge Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Shinshun's protests and gave Jorge Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. Zuri Villaluenga charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zuri Villaluenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, UD Shinshun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zuri Villaluenga to maneuver through the defense. Walter Lerena took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valerio Barba. Valerio Barba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Jorge Abarca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Bernardo Guerris hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Xulio Meruelo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Poroso Tellez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Curusapal. If Carnero Zurica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walter Lerena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Prats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerio Barba having to interfere. After some careless play in the CD Curusapal defense, Walter Lerena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valerio Barba. The CD Curusapal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valerio Barba should have stopped the shot. A collision led to UD Shinshun getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Kaviedes Rey hit a great ball. The supporters of UD Shinshun booed when CD Curusapal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garcia Temiño didn't get a good kick on the ball. UD Shinshun were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CD Curusapal for a fine match.
