Malacatus's supporters rose to their feet, but José-Manuel Albear was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Collazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gomez Espinoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Americo Entrala's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Banderas's goalkeeper Maximo Collazo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute José-Manuel Albear shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Collazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Malacatus getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Xzaver Barga hit a great ball. UD Banderas's Maximo Collazo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Arenal in the 24th minute of play. If Miguel Arenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José-Manuel Albear sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Miguel Arenal came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Malacatus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Arenal couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, UD Banderas's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Arenal came free, but Maximo Collazo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cordero Almazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malacatus's Gomez Espinoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Entrala in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malacatus's goalkeeper Gomez Espinoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Americo Entrala to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, José-Manuel Albear reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maximo Collazo. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 59th minute, Alarcón Francos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Malacatus's Gomez Espinoso didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, UD Banderas's Francisco Bentisca got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cordero Almazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gomez Espinoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, José-Manuel Albear took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Maximo Collazo to make any attempt to save it. In the 81st minute, José-Manuel Albear got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute José-Manuel Albear shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Collazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José-Manuel Albear recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cordero Almazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, José-Manuel Albear was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malacatus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Banderas the free kick. The supporters of UD Banderas booed when Malacatus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. José-Manuel Albear didn't get a good kick on the ball. The UD Banderas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Malacatus's performance. The match ended with a win for Malacatus.
