Alberto Albiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes of play, UD Shalapa's Maximiliano Sibila made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Raimundo Miralles fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Shalapa's protests and gave Raimundo Miralles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UD Shalapa's Raimundo Miralles got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Ricardo Rois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Shalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Raimundo Miralles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Reyero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Xines Goztros hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Arévalo Huguet, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 88th minute, Tyrone Cabrales fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabio Barreto, passed just outside the right post.
