Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pinto's Emilio Reve started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7thth minute of the game Gustavo Fontanez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinto's Rodriguez Ruperto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gualaqui SC booed when Pinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Cangas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, Gualaqui SC's Vigil Elorduy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodriguez Ruperto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gualaqui SC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Gigante in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguez Ruperto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Reve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Fontanez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Fontanez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguez Ruperto having to interfere. When Teofilo Gigante fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gualaqui SC's protests and gave Teofilo Gigante a yellow card for diving instead. Teofilo Gigante kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Emilio Reve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teofilo Gigante was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Pinto's Pablo-Enrique Duyos got a free kick in the 35th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Velasco Padro made a kick off. Velasco Padro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Tabliega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Reve, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Pablo-Enrique Duyos struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Victor Tabliega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinto. Pinto's Rodriguez Ruperto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Pinto from getting a goal against them. After 76 played minutes Pinto got a freekick which was hit by Igor Cangas. Rodriguez Ruperto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velasco Padro in the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gualaqui SC's Johnny Echarri got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gualaqui SC's Victor Tabliega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Reve in the 81st minute of play. When Marcos Varo. fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gualaqui SC's protests and gave Marcos Varo. a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Gualaqui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Varo. to maneuver through the defense. Victor Tabliega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo-Enrique Duyos in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Pinto's Pablo-Enrique Duyos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Tabliega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 88 minutes into the match, Pinto's Pablo-Enrique Duyos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Tabliega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Pinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urti Quincoces to maneuver through the defense. Urti Quincoces took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Tabliega. Gualaqui SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emilio Reve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Victor Tabliega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Gualaqui SC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Reve came free, but Victor Tabliega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pinto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
