Venceslas Caldero was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mendoza Caño. In the 7th minute, Diego Mariña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Esmeraldita's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yago Perana 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Venceslas Caldero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pinto Cotilla in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, CD Esmeraldita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xelo Bierna to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Urtats Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Venceslas Caldero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Venceslas Caldero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yago Perana in the 22nd minute of play. Xiao Biñuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Mariña in the 25th minute of the match. When Pinto Cotilla came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Conibura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pinto Cotilla couldn't finish the play. Venceslas Caldero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yago Perana's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. If Pinto Cotilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Diego Mariña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xiao Biñuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Fleitas Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Conibura's zone, Emilio Cañete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xiao Biñuela came out of the goal and Emilio Cañete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Esmeraldita's Emilio Cañete got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yago Perana made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CD Esmeraldita's goal looked a bit too open when Pinto Cotilla came free, but Venceslas Caldero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Conibura's Mauricio Moniz got a free kick in the 58th minute. Venceslas Caldero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pinto Cotilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Pinto Cotilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Venceslas Caldero was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Pinto Cotilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yago Perana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yago Perana came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Conibura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yago Perana couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Xelo Bierna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76thth minute of the game Pinto Cotilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Esmeraldita's Venceslas Caldero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Conibura booed when CD Esmeraldita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Agüero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pinto Cotilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Venceslas Caldero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Emilio Cañete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Conibura's Xiao Biñuela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yago Perana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venceslas Caldero having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the CD Esmeraldita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Conibura.
