Loropico's Osvaldo Dosal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Texeira Balmori in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, José-Luis Yanguas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viviano Bullido in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ortíz Bilbao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José-Luis Yanguas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ortíz Bilbao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Viviano Bullido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loropico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viviano Bullido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loropico's Osvaldo Dosal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Loropico from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

José-Luis Yanguas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ortíz Bilbao having to make a save. José-Luis Yanguas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viviano Bullido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José-Luis Yanguas might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ortíz Bilbao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José-Luis Yanguas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ortíz Bilbao made a huge save. If Texeira Balmori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Briones FC's goalkeeper Ortíz Bilbao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Grueso Urdapileta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Briones FC's Calle Iravedra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 80th minute of the match, Viviano Bullido tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ortíz Bilbao saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Grueso Urdapileta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If José-Luis Yanguas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Briones FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Viviano Bullido 87 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, José-Luis Yanguas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loropico's supporters rose to their feet, but José-Luis Yanguas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ortíz Bilbao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
