Hurtado Irala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Texeira Guardamiño having to interfere. Jesus Cadrecha charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Cadrecha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zelipe Falcos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Raúl Herenchun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Urtun Sovera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quitanga booed when CD Calpi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Novales didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Jose-Antonio Gigante in the 19th minute really tested Raúl Herenchun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Quitanga booed when CD Calpi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Novales didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zelipe Falco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Herenchun having to interfere. A collision led to CD Calpi getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rodríguez Martinena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbasa Cebollero in the 28th minute of play forced CD Calpi's goalkeeper Raúl Herenchun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zelipe Falco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Herenchun having to interfere. Urtun Sovera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Texeira Guardamiño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Urbasa Cebollero lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Raúl Herenchun. 43 minutes into the match, CD Calpi's goalkeeper Raúl Herenchun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Toyo. Urbasa Cebollero struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Raúl Herenchun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quitanga. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urtun Sovera to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hurtado Irala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 57 minutes, Oscar Toyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quitanga and the CD Calpi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Oscar Toyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Zelipe Falco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl Herenchun was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Urbasa Cebollero kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Quitanga's Urbasa Cebollero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl Herenchun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CD Calpi's José-Francisco Escude got a free kick in the 77th minute. Urtun Sovera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Texeira Guardamiño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Urbasa Cebollero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Urbasa Cebollero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quitanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbasa Cebollero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zelipe Falco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Herenchun having to interfere. Quitanga's Zelipe Falco got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quitanga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
