When Xamin Pamanes came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Huino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xamin Pamanes couldn't finish the play. Quiróz Tobia charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quiróz Tobia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Huino booed when Borneo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quiróz Tobia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavierlada Huberto in the 12th minute of play forced Huino's goalkeeper Osvaldo Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Orlando Moñiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xan Arrueta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mina Cordon made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Huino's Mina Cordon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xan Arrueta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Borneo getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Manuel Roza hit a great ball. Mina Cordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xan Arrueta having to interfere. The supporters of Huino booed when Borneo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaviedes Maza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huino's Danilo Hermo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Borneo. 70 minutes into the match, Borneo's goal looked a bit too open when Mina Cordon came free, but Xan Arrueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zavior Failde during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Borneo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zavior Failde to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Mina Cordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Huino's Valery Ahumada got a free kick in the 76th minute. Xan Arrueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mina Cordon in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borneo's goalkeeper Xan Arrueta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, one of Huino:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Huino. Eugenio Buendia walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 95th minute, Manuel Roza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
