Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tercero Peinado started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Pilares's Ignacio Altemiz stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Narciso Gao stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Novilla FC of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Ignacio Altemiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Narciso Gao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ignacio Altemizs short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Narciso Gao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute, Pilares's Xacintu Burualla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xacintu Burualla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pilares protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xacintu Burualla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of Pilares:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 22 minutes into the match, Pilares's goal looked a bit too open when Yiyo Secilia came free, but Ramos Izarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yiyo Secilia came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Novilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yiyo Secilia couldn't finish the play. Ignacio Altemiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Gao having to interfere. Pilares's Manolo Ozaolaza got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignacio Altemiz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Narciso Gao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilares. Urrutia Ortuño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yiyo Secilia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urrutia Ortuño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramos Izarra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Ramos Izarra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yiyo Secilia went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urrutia Ortuño got free with Ramos Izarra in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Urrutia Ortuño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pilares's zone, Urrutia Ortuño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramos Izarra came out of the goal and Urrutia Ortuño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Yiyo Secilia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramos Izarra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yiyo Secilia in the 88th minute. Urrutia Ortuño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ramos Izarra made a huge save. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pilares's goalkeeper Ramos Izarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
