Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marivina's Veto Pedrosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Gian-Carlo Güell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Arregui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marivina's Veto Pedrosa got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Delgado Hormaiztegui successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 10th minute, Puembo SC's Elkin Grijalba seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elkin Grijalba the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Puembo SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elkin Grijalba had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Puembo SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marivina:s goal. The goalkeeper, Delgado Hormaiztegui, was totally fooled by Marivina's Fernando Bascones, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Marivina's Estevez Miar got a free kick in the 14th minute. Delgado Hormaiztegui stood somewhat misplaced when Veto Pedrosa came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Veto Pedrosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Xaime Zuaza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puembo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaime Zuaza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Arregui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Rodas Idalgo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puembo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marivina the free kick. In the 35th match minute, Puembo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodas Idalgo to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match, Rubén Belda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Delgado Hormaiztegui was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Xaime Zuaza made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Marivina getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fernando Bascones hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marivina's zone, Ramos Paba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Arregui came out of the goal and Ramos Paba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. Fernando Bascones stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Delgado Hormaiztegui. 3-0. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Puembo SC. Ramos Paba stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felipe Arregui. 3-1. Xaime Zuaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Felipe Arregui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xaime Zuaza struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Felipe Arregui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puembo SC. Xaime Zuaza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Marivina booed when Puembo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Yanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes, Marivina's Fernando Bascones shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delgado Hormaiztegui came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marivina reached it. Felipe Arregui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xaime Zuaza in the 87th minute. In the 88th match minute, Marivina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xalbador Cillero to maneuver through the defense. Veto Pedrosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Delgado Hormaiztegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Puembo SC's zone, Veto Pedrosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delgado Hormaiztegui came out of the goal and Veto Pedrosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
