The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guintur FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Arizmendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Basaran was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th minute, Guintur FC's Luis Balladares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Segundo Presa. Segundo Presa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. UD Chinchi's Edwin Garriga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guintur FC. After 48 minutes of play UD Chinchi's Danny Reiriz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, UD Chinchi's Danny Reiriz got a free kick in the 49th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Marcelo Marina managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Chinchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Marina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perez Errasti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Segundo Presa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Marina hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Guintur FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
