Vilson Arripe might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urti Ramallal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilson Arripe ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Rios Bara in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vilson Arripe came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Urti Ramallal could save by the left post. In the 44th minute, one of UD Copal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Copal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Chapital was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Chican SC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Gorbalan. In the 55th minute Edmundo Chapital shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximen Suarbol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xabel Castropan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 57thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ximen Suarbol would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Vilson Arripe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urti Ramallal was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Xabel Castropan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ximen Suarbol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilson Arripe in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urti Ramallal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ximen Suarbol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Chapital, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Rios Bara succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 85th minute, Chican SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmundo Chapital fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
