Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teofilo Luaces kicked off to start the match. Teofilo Luaces received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Velasco Aspurua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, CD Borrero's goal looked a bit too open when William Madama came free, but Hernando Mesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Trancapamba's goal looked a bit too open when Paúl Resamano came free, but Velasco Aspurua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torres Izaguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Hernando Mesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Madama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Buruaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CD Borrero getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Humberto Galguera hit a great ball. William Madama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernando Mesa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Victoro Sobrino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoro Sobrino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Hernando Mesa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Madama, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Hernando Mesa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoro Sobrino in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Trancapamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mercado Lizana to maneuver through the defense. Velasco Aspurua was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teofilo Luaces showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. William Madama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, William Madama got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 minutes, Francisco Mendibuey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trancapamba and the CD Borrero players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Trancapamba getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Francisco Mendibuey hit a great ball. A hard shot by Urtun Robres from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Velasco Aspurua's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hernando Mesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Madama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Pepe Serra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Borrero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trancapamba the free kick. A collision led to CD Borrero getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Pepe Serra hit a great ball. Victoro Sobrino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernando Mesa having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CD Borrero eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
