The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, UD Llagos's Elkin Trifol got control of the ball when Castillo Armida tried to sneak it across the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Blanch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Llagos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mates SC the free kick. In the 5th match minute, UD Llagos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Blanch to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Hondraita during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Arripe couldn't finish the play. Jairo Amo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Alejandre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinaro Morejon in the 25th minute of play forced UD Llagos's goalkeeper Elkin Trifol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Xinaro Morejon got free in front of the goal in the 32nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Elkin Trifol was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, UD Llagos's Jonatan Alejandre made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jairo Amo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Castillo Armida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xinaro Morejon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Castillo Armida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Elkin Trifol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Hondraita came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jairo Amo could save by the left post. Jonatan Alejandre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Amo having to interfere. Texeira Orense kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Genaro Hondraita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jairo Amo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to UD Llagos getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Luis Arripe hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mates SC's zone, Jonatan Alejandre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Amo came out of the goal and Jonatan Alejandre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Hondraita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jairo Amo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castillo Armida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Elkin Trifol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
