Mates SC's Xinaro Morejon got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Ximun Escobar made the kick off in the second half. UD Agualonguito were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Mates SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldeón Riofrio took the corner. UD Agualonguito's Baldeón Riofrio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jairo Amo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Urbes Alday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Amo having to interfere. Xinaro Morejon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Zorion Horna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mates SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
