The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, UD Cohembi's Urbasa Puntones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manolo Verganza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. UD Niton's Enrico Novo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of UD Cohembi booed when UD Niton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venceslao Lena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Verganza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Trevino, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbasa Puntones in the 33rd minute of play forced UD Niton's goalkeeper Manolo Verganza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolo Verganza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbasa Puntones in the 38th minute of the match. Urbasa Puntones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrico Novo made a kick off. Jose Trevino came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manolo Verganza could save by the left post. In the 54th match minute, UD Niton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Pando to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jacinto Areizabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Cohembi's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Areizabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo Verganza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to UD Cohembi getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Xaime Cucho hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, UD Niton's Augusto Pando tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leo Corroto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cuero Andueco in the 61st minute of the match. Augusto Pando kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. UD Cohembi's Jose Trevino got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cuero Andueco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UD Niton's Manolo Verganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbasa Puntones in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, UD Niton's Cuero Andueco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Corroto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of UD Niton booed when UD Cohembi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vermudo Arindez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Verganza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Trevino in the 97th minute. UD Cohembi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
