Johnny Prado hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xeromo Cruzado in the 17th minute of play forced UD Rioverde's goalkeeper Kléber Villamil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xeromo Cruzado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Villamil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xeromo Cruzado, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Roberto Oliva hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Yánez Padriña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vernaza Ozores in the 32nd minute of play. Johnny Prado scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yánez Padriña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute Conferencia were awarded a corner. Roberto Oliva went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Conferencia getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bernardo Guanes hit a great ball. Xzavaier Cereijais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Johnny Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, UD Rioverde's goal looked a bit too open when José-Francisco Acipreste came free, but Kléber Villamil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, UD Rioverde's Xzavaier Cereijais made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yánez Padriña was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Johnny Prado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yánez Padriña, passed just outside the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnny Prado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yánez Padriña. That made the score 1-3 in the 76 minute of play. In the 82nd minute Xeromo Cruzado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Villamil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Reneros charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Reneros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roberto Oliva scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kléber Villamil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UD Rioverde eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
