After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Chucho Caceo managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Habana's supporters rose to their feet, but Chucho Caceo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Panguision breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. UD Habana's Rodriguez Lidon pulled a muscle in his leg after 5 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Xoan Caloca kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Xencio Calleja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Miniatura and the UD Habana players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to UD Miniatura getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernando Galarreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bone Laserna having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brito Illan to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Brito Illan suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Stalin Legorburu's late challenge caught a UD Habana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stalin Legorburu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UD Miniatura getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Stalin Legorburu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in UD Habana's zone, Rodriguez Bidania stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bone Laserna came out of the goal and Rodriguez Bidania tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, UD Miniatura's Hernando Galarreta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bone Laserna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. UD Habana's Bone Laserna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save UD Habana from getting a goal against them. Rodriguez Bidania could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Bone Laserna made a huge save. Hernando Galarreta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bone Laserna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The UD Miniatura supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Miniatura would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
