Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Paila's goalkeeper Pepito Cerecedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Candelario Navariega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruperto Zumalburu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 6 minutes into the game, Paila's Freddy Guiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Ocampo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Libertad Deleyto's late challenge caught a Paila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Libertad Deleyto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cuypamba getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Libertad Deleyto hit a great ball. Ruperto Zumalburu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Eduardo Ocampo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paila. When Cuypamba's Candelario Navariega in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paila's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 30 in the game by Marco Queiruga from a close distance when the talented Pepito Cerecedo managed to make a qualified save. Paila's players were relieved. Candelario Navariega took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pepito Cerecedo. Pepito Cerecedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Candelario Navariega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepito Cerecedo having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Candelario Navariega fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pepito Cerecedo, passed just outside the right post. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paila's goalkeeper Pepito Cerecedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Freddy Guiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Ocampo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasco Lasarte hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Guiu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Queiruga in the 53rd minute of play forced Paila's goalkeeper Pepito Cerecedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Cuypamba's Marco Queiruga made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepito Cerecedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Cuypamba's Eduardo Ocampo got control of the ball when Ruperto Zumalburu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Ocampo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Guiu in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Cuypamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. Cuypamba's Eduardo Ocampo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cuypamba from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cuypamba's zone, Ruperto Zumalburu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Ocampo came out of the goal and Ruperto Zumalburu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Candelario Navariega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuypamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candelario Navariega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pepito Cerecedo came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cuypamba's Candelario Navariega. But to his dismay, Candelario Navariega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Chalá Corte fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paila's protests and gave Chalá Corte a yellow card for diving instead. Chalá Corte kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Cuypamba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
