The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zorion Bernat during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Zorion Bernat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Sanjurjo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Ocampo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Sanjurjo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute of the game, Oso Limon landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 35 minutes into the game, Vasco Lasarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuypamba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Atar the free kick. A collision led to Cuypamba getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Vasco Lasarte hit a great ball. Lisandro Valdez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candelario Navariega in the 51st minute of play forced UD Atar's goalkeeper Zavior Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Candelario Navariega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Zavior Delgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 61 minutes, Marco Queiruga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuypamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Queiruga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zavior Delgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candelario Navariega's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in UD Atar's zone, Candelario Navariega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zavior Delgado came out of the goal and Candelario Navariega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Marco Queiruga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zavior Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Quijano charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Quijano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cuypamba getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Armando Quijano hit a great ball. Cristian Muñiz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Cuypamba's Eduardo Ocampo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Cuypamba from getting a goal against them. Cuypamba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of UD Atar for a fine match.
