Matimpi SC's Morán Hermosilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chalá Launda in the 11th minute of play. Morán Hermosilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chalá Launda in the 13th minute of play. Morán Hermosilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chalá Launda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Escolar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Pernia having to interfere. Eduardo Pernia made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Urbasa Durazo sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th play minute Urbasa Durazo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eduardo Pernia. 1-0. The supporters of Chacata booed when Matimpi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Cicero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Rixon Morata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Morán Hermosilla. Matimpi SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rixon Morata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chacata's zone, Felix Capellan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Pernia came out of the goal and Felix Capellan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Juan Cicero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matimpi SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Cicero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbasa Durazo in the 52nd minute of play forced Chacata's goalkeeper Eduardo Pernia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Penilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Morán Hermosilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morán Hermosilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rixon Morata in the 58th minute of the match. Chalá Launda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Rixon Morata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72ndth minute of the game Urbasa Durazo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacata's Eduardo Pernia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgardo Cosio charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Cosio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Capellan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Pernia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Lucio Villatreses made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Pernia. Chacata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rixon Morata got free with Morán Hermosilla in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salas Cardoso hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Matimpi SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
