Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Achote SC's Mateus Codosal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Balague in the 7th minute of play forced Achote SC's goalkeeper Ismael Santecilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teofilo Uceda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Rosabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Codosal in the 14th minute of play. Ovidio Rosabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Uceda, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Achote SC's Ismael Santecilla got control of the ball when Yiyo Villachica tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yiyo Villachica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ismael Santecilla made a huge save. Batista Balague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ismael Santecilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Santecilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batista Balague in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batista Balague in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Santecilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 minutes of play, Emperatriz's Yiyo Villachica made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Santecilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ovidio Rosabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Pantoja in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Quiróz Muñagorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yiyo Villachica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Santecilla having to interfere.
The wind increased when Batista Balague made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mateus Codosal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Achote SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Codosal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Rosabel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telmo Sedan walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 63rd minute, Achote SC's Mateus Codosal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ismael Santecilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiyo Villachica in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Achote SC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sebastian Pantoja hit a great ball. Mateus Codosal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Santecilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Batista Balague's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 88th minute Batista Balague shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Santecilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Rosabel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Uceda in the 90th minute. Batista Balague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Batista Balague in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Santecilla saved Achote SC from getting behind. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
