When Rubén Jonsansoro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Sumaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubén Jonsansoro couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute, Zavier Camats ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yaniusky Barahona was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zavier Camats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the game, Rubio Gualda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Xalbador Cerrajeria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th match minute, Sumaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xines Arzumendi to maneuver through the defense. UD Cayambe's Ordóñez Madariaga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sumaco FC. 19 minutes into the match, Sumaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Guaras came free, but Xalbador Cerrajeria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Sumaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Guaras came free, but Xalbador Cerrajeria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xalbador Cerrajeria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Guaras in the 24th minute of the match. Yaniusky Barahona didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sumaco FC's Sebastian Palacio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Rubén Jonsansoro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sumaco FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Marcelino Guaras scored to the left of an out of position Xalbador Cerrajeria, making the score, 2-3.

Xalbador Cerrajeria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Guaras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Caicedo Jolis fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Cayambe's protests and gave Caicedo Jolis a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in UD Cayambe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Sumaco FC's Ponce Ruete got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Yaniusky Barahona. In the 65th minute, Rubio Gualda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Cayambe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Xalbador Cerrajeria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubio Gualda in the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sumaco FC's Rubén Jonsansoro got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Sumaco FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rubén Jonsansoro hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Marcelino Guaras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Cayambe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Guaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Palacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rubio Gualda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Palacio struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Yaniusky Barahona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumaco FC. In the 90th minute, Parisi Doypa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Villafuerte Botbol during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sumaco FC booed when UD Cayambe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villafuerte Botbol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponce Ruete charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ponce Ruete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Sumaco FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UD Cayambe:s goal. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for UD Cayambe. Ordóñez Madariaga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xalbador Cerrajeria. 4-4. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
