After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Díaz Ahijado managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Cashuin's supporters rose to their feet, but Díaz Ahijado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Campos Raiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD Zaguan! Campos Raiz had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Batista Arcos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquez Cobian in the 29th minute of play forced CD Cashuin's goalkeeper Lucio Mazo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Díaz Ahijado came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Campos Raiz could save by the left post. Lisandro Ochoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Mazo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Batista Arcos's late challenge caught a CD Zaguan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Batista Arcos helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Cashuin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! 66 minutes into the match, CD Zaguan's Lisandro Ochoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio Mazo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of CD Cashuin booed when CD Zaguan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Donallo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
