If Díaz Ahijado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Trinidad got a freekick which was hit by Xizavier Zambranos. If Humberto Lorenzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. With an all-out effort, Trinidad's Lucio Mazo threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Humberto Lorenzo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pablo Lerma who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Lucio Mazo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mauro Gener made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Díaz Ahijado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinidad's Raúl Albertos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauro Gener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Albertos having to interfere. Parisi Campa kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Humberto Lorenzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trinidad's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Lorenzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucio Mazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Pablo Lerma put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lucio Mazo. The supporters of CD Cashuin booed when Trinidad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xulian Nembro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
