The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Positos FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Paz Osorio hit a great ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Toteguaico's goalkeeper Xacobo Jares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Perez Rigual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Perez Rigual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Toteguaico's Xacobo Jares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenez Altares in the 23rd minute of play. Ximenez Altares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xacobo Jares having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Weterio Aragones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jerson Ontova. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. After 31 minutes, Ximenez Altares made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. CD Toteguaico's Xacobo Jares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Positos FC's zone, Xuan Sorribo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerson Ontova came out of the goal and Xuan Sorribo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perez Rigual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xacobo Jares having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ximenez Altares was the one to do the kick off. 64 minutes into the game, Xuan Sorribo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jerson Ontova was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The CD Toteguaico fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when CD Toteguaico's Weterio Aragones looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Xacobo Jares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenez Altares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perez Rigual was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Positos FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leoverliz Cabalar during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, CD Toteguaico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leoverliz Cabalar to maneuver through the defense. Ximenez Altares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xacobo Jares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Xuan Sorribo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
