Urtsua Anduaga hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Zorion Candana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Balines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Balines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Roales in the 13th minute of play. If Marcelino Roales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Guashuma's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Espiga Ali fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zarando Elvira in the 32nd minute of play forced Guashuma's goalkeeper Ledesma Gundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Balines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Roales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ledesma Gundin managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when CD Purin's Espiga Ali fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zarando Elvira made a kick off. Zorion Candana might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Balines. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zorion Candana ran back to his position shaking his head. Zorion Candana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Eduardo Balines managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Guashuma's Zorion Candana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eduardo Balines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Roales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute of the match Aragón Morcillo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ledesma Gundin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Valentin Farras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Balines skillfully saved the ball. Marcelino Roales struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Eduardo Balines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guashuma. Zorion Candana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Guashuma's Marcelino Roales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Balines narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Espiga Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Purin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Espiga Ali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcelino Roales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espiga Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ledesma Gundin having to interfere. When Marcelino Roales came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Guashuma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Roales couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Purin's goalkeeper Eduardo Balines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
