With his leg Urbasa Matute managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Guashuma's Zorion Candana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13thth minute of the game Marcelino Roales who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Conocota SC's Urbasa Matute was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Camilo Vilafranca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guashuma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Conocota SC the free kick. Marcelino Roales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Urbasa Matute tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Zorion Candana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 25th minute, German Ayerdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Marcelino Roales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbasa Matute saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ledesma Gundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordero Lagrana in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Conocota SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! After 55 minutes, Unai Cismado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guashuma and the Conocota SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unai Cismado kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Urbasa Matute showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zorion Candana in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Guashuma getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Zorion Candana hit a great ball. Ledesma Gundin made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cordero Lagrana sent off a good shot on target. Guashuma's Ledesma Gundin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Guashuma from getting a goal against them. If Cordero Lagrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 82 in the game by Cordero Lagrana from a close distance when the talented Ledesma Gundin managed to make a qualified save. Guashuma's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zorion Candana in the 84th minute of play forced Conocota SC's goalkeeper Urbasa Matute to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zorion Candana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbasa Matute having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Conocota SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilson Recemill to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Marcelino Roales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guashuma's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Roales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbasa Matute breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Guashuma booed when Conocota SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Ceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordero Lagrana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ledesma Gundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
