A collision led to Piliche getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Xuaco Carrera hit a great ball. If Xepe Agosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xepe Agosta struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Fricson Cires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Ayapamba. With 22 minutes on the clock, Xavian Cachorro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Piliche fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! 28 minutes into the match, UD Ayapamba's goal looked a bit too open when Urko Calzada came free, but Cántaro Bartolome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes of play, UD Ayapamba's Xepe Agosta made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fricson Cires was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, Victoro Condado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Xepe Agosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fricson Cires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Inocencio Lamota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Ayapamba's Inocencio Lamota slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fricson Cires. That made the score 0-3 after 57 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, UD Ayapamba's Flavio Torne got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Victoro Condado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cántaro Bartolome was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Inocencio Lamota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Juan-Pablo Cendegui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piliche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan-Pablo Cendegui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, UD Ayapamba's Xepe Agosta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. If Xepe Agosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Piliche's zone, Inocencio Lamota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fricson Cires came out of the goal and Inocencio Lamota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UD Ayapamba's Inocencio Lamota got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Inocencio Lamota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over UD Ayapamba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Piliche throughout the match.
