After 3 played minutes UD Digshi got a freekick which was hit by Denis Valaguer. With a little luck, UD Digshi's Freddy Froiz got control of the ball when Villagra Angeles tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Mateus Deaguero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Digshi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Yunguilla the free kick. In the 13th minute Xepe Guardiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Froiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Froiz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samaniego Dalmases. In the 18th minute Xepe Guardiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Froiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Xepe Guardiola reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Freddy Froiz. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 27th minute, Xandro Viesca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UD Digshi's Dennis Cerra got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xepe Guardiola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Villagra Angeles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Froiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xepe Guardiola in the 69th minute of play. Emilio Olazagoitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the UD Digshi defense, Xepe Guardiola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Froiz. The UD Digshi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Froiz should have stopped the shot. UD Digshi's Freddy Froiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villagra Angeles in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of UD Digshi booed when CD Yunguilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Castiñeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. UD Digshi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
