A collision led to Quinchucajas FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fabricio Medeiros hit a great ball. If Osvaldo Peinado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palacios Carballal struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Zenaido Hervas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quinchucajas FC. Palacios Carballal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenaido Hervas having to interfere. Zenaido Hervas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Olmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in UD Camela's zone, Palacios Carballal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenaido Hervas came out of the goal and Palacios Carballal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Palacios Carballal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quinchucajas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palacios Carballal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Freddy Jara managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Camela's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Jara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Maroño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Palacios Carballal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Olmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenaido Hervas having to interfere. Tomas Olmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zenaido Hervas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Quinchucajas FC's Palacios Carballal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zenaido Hervas. That made the score 0-1 after 65 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Jara during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, UD Camela's Freddy Jara got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Olmo got free with Zenaido Hervas in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pepe Villametide fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quinchucajas FC's protests and gave Pepe Villametide a yellow card for diving instead. Pepe Villametide hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to UD Camela getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Matias Valdaliso hit a great ball. Viviano Picardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. John Maroño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UD Camela's Viviano Picardo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabricio Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. John Maroño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Peinado, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes of play Quinchucajas FC's Fabricio Medeiros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down.
