An unexpectedly hard shot by Obregón Baranda in the 4th minute of play forced CD Punsara's goalkeeper Bone Castroverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Obregón Baranda came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Chimbiquiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Obregón Baranda couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the game, Chimbiquiti's Xeromo Cavero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bone Castroverde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Obregón Baranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bone Castroverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Moises Cueli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chimbiquiti's Obregón Baranda got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Fontanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Bugedo in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, CD Punsara's goal looked a bit too open when Obregón Baranda came free, but Bone Castroverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Bugedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Fontanes having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Miguel Bugedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Punsara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Bugedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Ventura during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Eugenio Ventura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Obregón Baranda came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Chimbiquiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Obregón Baranda couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Bugedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Obregón Baranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bone Castroverde was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Miguel Bugedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandro Carana charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandro Carana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Chimbiquiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandro Carana to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chimbiquiti booed when CD Punsara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darío Orduña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bone Castroverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Obregón Baranda in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Obregón Baranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimbiquiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Obregón Baranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Bugedo took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Fontanes. Raul Fontanes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CD Punsara had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
