Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xuaco Pino started the match with the kick off. Sangay FC's Tyrone Guevara got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zornin Rienda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentine Chave, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xuaco Pino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Antonio Losada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sangay FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Sangay FC booed when Moquera SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Criban Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sangay FC's zone, Xuaco Pino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xorxe Urquiza came out of the goal and Xuaco Pino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Losada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Antonio Losada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Xuaco Pino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xorxe Urquiza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Antonio Losada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moquera SC's Zornin Rienda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruben Hero hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Losada made a kick off. Antonio Losada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Zornin Rienda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Guevara's late challenge caught a Moquera SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyrone Guevara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Tyrone Guevara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villafuerte Atienza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zornin Rienda having to interfere. Robin Tolosa struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Xorxe Urquiza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moquera SC. When Robin Tolosa came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Moquera SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Tolosa couldn't finish the play. Xuaco Pino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Xorxe Urquiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Hurdinosa's late challenge caught a Moquera SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Hurdinosa helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sangay FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Moquera SC. Armando Oria stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xorxe Urquiza. 1-1. Antonio Losada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xorxe Urquiza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuaco Pino in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Moquera SC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Losada came free, but Zornin Rienda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
