Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roque Castilla kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Huamboya's Nixon Frade got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Demetrio Bustos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Torto made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when John Urruchua sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Huamboya's Omar Bullido got a free kick in the 14th minute. Yaruquies's Vergaray Miar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Castilla in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Huamboya's zone, Demetrio Bustos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Torto came out of the goal and Demetrio Bustos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Huamboya booed when Yaruquies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Calera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arias Natal in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vergaray Miar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yaruquies's Vergaray Miar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arias Natal in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Huamboya got a freekick which was hit by Omar Bullido. Demetrio Bustos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Castilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Vergaray Miar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arias Natal in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Yaruquies getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Angel Lariz hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Victorio Virues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vergaray Miar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Arias Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Facundo Soldevila fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yaruquies's protests and gave Facundo Soldevila a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roque Castilla in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demetrio Bustos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chiriboga Cerbera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Vergaray Miar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Omar Bullido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, John Urruchua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Torto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Demetrio Bustos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Torto having to interfere. Omar Bullido got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Huamboya's Omar Bullido got a free kick in the 70th minute. Demetrio Bustos took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Torto. Valentin Torto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 78th minute, John Urruchua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Leonardo Santiago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Urruchua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Torto having to interfere. If Demetrio Bustos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huamboya's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
