Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vachon Villavicencio started the match with the kick off. Vachon Villavicencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roger Somiedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Vachon Villavicencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Somiedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ibarra Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zigor Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Gavito, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vachon Villavicencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Somiedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CD Guaitacama's Vidal Pose got a free kick in the 18th minute. Roger Somiedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lopez Ceron's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 29 minutes in the game, Paolo Gavito fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zigor Barreto having to interfere. Lopez Ceron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Roger Somiedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ibarra Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Guaitacama's supporters rose to their feet, but Ibarra Rosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zigor Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zigor Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Gavito in the 36th minute of the match. If Paolo Gavito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Gavito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zigor Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Paolo Gavito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zigor Barreto came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Gavito slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paolo Gavito made a kick off. Roger Somiedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lopez Ceron in the 54th minute. 63 minutes into the match, CD Balsapamba's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Gavito came free, but Zigor Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, CD Balsapamba's Lopez Ceron made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Somiedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Ibarra Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zigor Barreto. CD Balsapamba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ibarra Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. CD Guaitacama's Timoteo Bara got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vachon Villavicencio in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Somiedo saved CD Guaitacama from getting behind. A collision led to CD Guaitacama getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Timoteo Bara hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, CD Guaitacama's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lopez Ceron fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. CD Guaitacama's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
