Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cotosaz SC's Patricio Taviel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cotosaz SC's Emilio Onez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vachon Villavicencio in the 4th minute of play. When Unai Verda fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cotosaz SC's protests and gave Unai Verda a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cotosaz SC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Unai Verda hit a great ball. If Vachon Villavicencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unai Verda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zigor Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ovidio Yanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Zigor Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oso Pujol kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Patricio Taviel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cotosaz SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Taviel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zigor Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th match minute, CD Balsapamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oso Pujol to maneuver through the defense. CD Balsapamba's Oso Pujol got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vachon Villavicencio was the one to do the kick off. Vachon Villavicencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Onez having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Patricio Taviel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cotosaz SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Taviel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zigor Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Lopez Ceron made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Onez. Cotosaz SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in CD Balsapamba's zone, Patricio Taviel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zigor Barreto came out of the goal and Patricio Taviel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Yanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Zigor Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, CD Balsapamba's Erick Arveras broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vachon Villavicencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Onez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Polo Ozaeta. After 92 minutes of play Cotosaz SC's Unai Verda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 93rd minute, Unai Verda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over CD Balsapamba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cotosaz SC throughout the match.
