After 11 minutes, Alejandro Puerto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zhiquir and the Auquichico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Zhiquir got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Puerto. Gomez Veguri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eduardo Onterino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Auquichico booed when Zhiquir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Puerto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Auquichico's Cotera Candelo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sandro Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Auquichico's Sandro Barea got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gomez Veguri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Eduardo Onterino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandro Puerto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Inocencio Remolina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Auquichico's Nicolas Nocedo got control of the ball when Marcos Dolmos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Pedro Camilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Sandro Barea made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Onterino. Zhiquir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Zhiquir players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Auquichico were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gomez Veguri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zhiquir's Eduardo Onterino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gomez Veguri in the 52nd minute of play. When Dario Junyent came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Auquichico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Junyent couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Xzavaier Herias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Onterino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Camilo in the 70th minute of play forced Auquichico's goalkeeper Nicolas Nocedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Onterino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gomez Veguri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Auquichico's Gomez Veguri got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Auquichico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cotera Candelo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Auquichico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
