Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Quiñónez Madrazo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Quiñónez Madrazo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xusto Crisol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Viator Faxardo took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xusto Crisol. Xusto Crisol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Vitor Garoña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute of the match, Vitor Garoña tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Cardarda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jeremias Carrasco fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marcopamba's protests and gave Jeremias Carrasco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Marcopamba getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jeremias Carrasco hit a great ball. When Rumipungu's Viator Faxardo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marcopamba's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Marcopamba booed when Rumipungu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mina Anaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Viera's shot from long distance in the 30th minute was not bad at all, but Rumipungu's Sandro Cardarda knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Quiñónez Madrazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quiñónez Madrazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xusto Crisol having to interfere. Federico Argoños blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandro Cardarda having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Marcopamba's Jeremias Carrasco got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 52nd minute, Rolando Arriete left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marcopamba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Viator Faxardo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sandro Cardarda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitor Garoña's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Federico Argoños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sandro Cardarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Argoños blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandro Cardarda having to make a save. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rumipungu's goalkeeper Sandro Cardarda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viator Faxardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Xusto Crisol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quiñónez Madrazo in the 96th minute of play forced Marcopamba's goalkeeper Xusto Crisol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
