After a rather tough play, Tunguipamba FC's Ximeno Roberto got a free kick in the 10th minute. CD Delta's Alfonso Caviedes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tunguipamba FC. If Xabat Vial had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, CD Delta's goalkeeper Humberto Zalaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandez Merchan. Tunguipamba FC's Xabat Vial got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fernandez Merchan got free in front of the goal in the 22nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Humberto Zalaya was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Xabat Vial sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poroso Botbol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Velunza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Chatruc Arando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Zalaya skillfully saved the ball. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tunguipamba FC! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xabat Vial to make the kick off. If Camilo Tamaron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fernandez Merchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Zalaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xabat Vial in the 61st minute of play. Humberto Zalaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabat Vial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 72nd minute of the match Ximeno Roberto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ximeno Roberto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Tunguipamba FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ximeno Roberto hit a great ball. Xabat Vial recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Fernandez Merchan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Zalaya was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Poroso Botbol's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Jacinto Velunza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Camilo Tamaron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jacinto Velunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fernandez Merchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The CD Delta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
