Braulio Rubinos started the match with the kick off. A collision led to CD Chinguil getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gustavo Solache hit a great ball. George Moranto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Rubinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Teodoro Alas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibarra Cuadrillero having to interfere. If Gustavo Solache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Chinguil's George Moranto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Rubinos in the 22nd minute of play. CD Chinguil's Gustavo Solache got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Gustavo Solache off the ground. Gustavo Solache kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, UD Cachiguaico's Braulio Rubinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Moranto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos-Alberto Corcuera during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CD Chinguil's Carlos-Alberto Corcuera got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes, Bone Elguera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Chinguil and the UD Cachiguaico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bone Elguera hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. UD Cachiguaico's Ibarra Cuadrillero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos-Alberto Corcuera in the 41st minute of play. Erwin Bolaños sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erwin Bolaños made a kick off. Erwin Bolaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ibarra Cuadrillero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos-Alberto Corcuera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Lozano came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and George Moranto could save by the left post. If Braulio Rubinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Erwin Bolaños managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Chinguil's supporters rose to their feet, but Erwin Bolaños was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ibarra Cuadrillero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ibarra Cuadrillero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilson Villalobos in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Erwin Bolaños managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Chinguil's supporters rose to their feet, but Erwin Bolaños was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ibarra Cuadrillero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Moranto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Rubinos in the 78th minute of the match. Joaquin Lozano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Braulio Rubinos struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. George Moranto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Cachiguaico. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
