In the 46th minute Luzuriaga Gorostiza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Anievas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Reasco Bobes shot from long distance in the 56th minute, but Fausto Anievas was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Reyes Ampuero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Carlos Herrador in the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan-Carlos Herrador in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reyes Ampuero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xeromo Garin fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Quimshi's protests and gave Xeromo Garin a yellow card for diving instead. 65 minutes into the match, UD Quimshi's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Carlos Herrador came free, but Reyes Ampuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batista Angulo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Alonzo Aldeis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Escobar Almonacid had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reyes Ampuero. UD Quimshi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Escobar Almonacid was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 91 minutes, Dannes Artacho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puna and the UD Quimshi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dannes Artacho kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th play minute Luciano Polo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fausto Anievas. 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
