The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ruben Albino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquin Zumiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xines Argüelles having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xamo Bastida in the 27th minute of play forced Peralto FC's goalkeeper Quiñónez Brañas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Albino in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quiñónez Brañas saved Peralto FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute Xamo Bastida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Brañas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xamo Bastida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute España Vivaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Brañas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Chahuarbamba FC booed when Peralto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romero Cavite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Xamo Bastida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute Xamo Bastida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Brañas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peralto FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
