Fabio Eleizalde succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Udalaitz Mazuelo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Isaias Lobelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Destino SC. Xabel Matesanz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Destino SC's Aires Villagran got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilmar Lamas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Eleizalde's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Mario Peinado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilmar Lamas was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, CD Desecho's Vistruario Echeverria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar Lamas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilmar Lamas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Peinado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Vistruario Echeverria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Lamas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Peinado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gilmar Lamas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Udalaitz Mazuelo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaias Lobelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isaias Lobelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Udalaitz Mazuelo in the 40th minute of play. If Aires Villagran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Peinado to strike the kick off in the second half. Mora Ruimonte kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, Destino SC's Gilmar Lamas got control of the ball when Fabio Eleizalde tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the CD Desecho defense, Udalaitz Mazuelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaias Lobelo. The CD Desecho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Lobelo should have stopped the shot. If Aires Villagran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Destino SC's Gilmar Lamas got control of the ball when Fabio Eleizalde tried to sneak it across the goal line. The CD Desecho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Desecho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
