When Moreta Calona fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuendina's protests and gave Moreta Calona a yellow card for diving instead. Moreta Calona kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Johnny Urreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Ribota's late challenge caught a Cuendina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Ribota helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jatupamba SC's Pavel Ojea got a free kick in the 17th minute. Candelario Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Urreta's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Claudio Ayllon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candelario Mendes having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Jatupamba SC got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Ojea. The audience cheered when Moreta Calona's long shot passed Candelario Mendes's right side. It was 0-1, 41 minutes into the match. Cortez Seda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Ojea in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Faustino Beneit made the kick off in the second half. Candelario Mendes was a little too slow when Claudio Ayllon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Claudio Ayllons short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Candelario Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Johnny Urreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candelario Mendes having to interfere. Faustino Beneit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cortez Seda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pavel Ojea was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. After 73 played minutes Jatupamba SC got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Ojea. When Cuendina's Johnny Urreta, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cuendina. Claudio Ayllon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jatupamba SC's Candelario Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Urreta in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Cuendina's Claudio Ayllon made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candelario Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Nicolas Yzarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Ayllon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cuendina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
