Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angulo Matanza took the kick off in the first half of the match. Angulo Matanza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Edwin Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Banda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CD Jambeli booed when Baejon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Barrosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, CD Jambeli's Bolívar Pereceira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Leonardo Banda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Edwin Rey made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Baejon's Bruno Barrosa got a free kick in the 18th minute. Angulo Matanza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Banda might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edwin Rey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Banda ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pavel Zartucha during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pavel Zartucha hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Leonardo Banda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Edwin Rey made a huge save. If Silvio Orantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Pavel Zartucha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Francisco Revillas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Baejon were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pavel Zartucha to make the kick off. Rogerio Asencio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Rogerio Asencio fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Jambeli's protests and gave Rogerio Asencio a yellow card for diving instead. Baejon's Edwin Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Banda in the 66th minute of play. Silvio Orantes struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Francisco Revillas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baejon. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Silvio Orantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baejon's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Orantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Revillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, one of CD Jambeli:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Jambeli. CD Jambeli:s Francisco Revillas showed great skill when he stopped Hernando Alaiz:s penalty. After a defensive mix-up in CD Jambeli's zone, Silvio Orantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Revillas came out of the goal and Silvio Orantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Silvio Orantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Revillas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Baejon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Baejon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
