The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. UD Pintag's Krikorian Amesquita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save UD Pintag from getting a goal against them. If Ignacio Resto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, CD Jidcay's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Resto came free, but Juan-Pablo Cezuago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If García Araso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krikorian Amesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Lomas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. UD Pintag's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cesar Lomas 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Lomas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Krikorian Amesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes CD Jidcay got a freekick which was hit by Joffre Casasola. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Resto in the 41st minute of play forced CD Jidcay's goalkeeper Juan-Pablo Cezuago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ramírez Beite fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Jidcay's protests and gave Ramírez Beite a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th match minute, CD Jidcay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramírez Beite to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Lomas made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, CD Jidcay's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Resto came free, but Juan-Pablo Cezuago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paredes Guazo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Juan-Pablo Cezuago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes UD Pintag got a freekick which was hit by Walter Megia. Paredes Guazo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Juan-Pablo Cezuago made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, UD Pintag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Bernal to maneuver through the defense. Ignacio Resto hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Krikorian Amesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from García Araso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paredes Guazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Resto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan-Pablo Cezuago having to interfere. Krikorian Amesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Lomas in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, CD Jidcay's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Resto came free, but Juan-Pablo Cezuago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paredes Guazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, CD Jidcay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramírez Beite to maneuver through the defense. Ignacio Resto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Juan-Pablo Cezuago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Utrera charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Utrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CD Jidcay fans cheered their team off the field, for while UD Pintag had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
