Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafael Mollinedo started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alarcón Alborja got free with Urdaspal Capa in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Valensuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urdaspal Capa having to interfere. Zuhaitz Arizmendez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Veintemilla's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rafael Mollinedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matias Menocal fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Habaspampa's protests and gave Matias Menocal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, CD Habaspampa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Menocal to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Mollinedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lucas Cerdeiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinto Ochagavia in the 19th minute of play forced Veintemilla's goalkeeper Lucas Cerdeiras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Lisandro Obaldia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xinto Ochagavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lucas Cerdeiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Valensuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CD Habaspampa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Fernando Valensuela scored to the left of an out of position Urdaspal Capa, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Veintemilla's zone, Xinto Ochagavia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Cerdeiras came out of the goal and Xinto Ochagavia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Xinto Ochagavia managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Habaspampa's supporters rose to their feet, but Xinto Ochagavia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Cerdeiras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Rafael Mollinedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zuhaitz Caceo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lucas Cerdeiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuhaitz Arizmendez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urdaspal Capa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Valensuela was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zuhaitz Arizmendez during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Veintemilla getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Zuhaitz Arizmendez hit a great ball. Rafael Mollinedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Xinto Ochagavia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucas Cerdeiras was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. CD Habaspampa's Urdaspal Capa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zuhaitz Arizmendez in the 71st minute of play. Urdaspal Capa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Valensuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veintemilla's Lucas Cerdeiras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Mollinedo in the 83rd minute of play. Urdaspal Capa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Valensuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 86th minute, Fernando Valensuela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veintemilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 91st minute, Fernando Valensuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Valensuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urdaspal Capa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Yépez Sagredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Veintemilla support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
