Walter Villaurreta came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hurtado Cerbera could save by the left post. If Tonio Falco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th match minute, Ermelinda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Rosa to maneuver through the defense. When Landazuri's Tonio Falco in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ermelinda's goalie prevented a goal. Lucio Durango showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Rabago in the 45th minute of the match. Ulizes Soporta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When Tonio Falco came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Landazuri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tonio Falco couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tonio Falco to strike the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, Ermelinda's goal looked a bit too open when Tonio Falco came free, but Hurtado Cerbera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ermelinda's zone, Tonio Falco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hurtado Cerbera came out of the goal and Tonio Falco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Walter Villaurreta came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Landazuri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Villaurreta couldn't finish the play. If Tonio Falco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonio Falco in the 82nd minute of play forced Ermelinda's goalkeeper Hurtado Cerbera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbez Cosca hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Tonio Falco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hurtado Cerbera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hurtado Cerbera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Villaurreta's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Vellito Madrid's late challenge caught a Ermelinda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vellito Madrid helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Lucio Durango, was totally fooled by Ermelinda's Marquez Pineda, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 97 minutes, Walter Villaurreta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landazuri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Villaurreta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ubaldo Menchaca came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Ermelinda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Menchaca couldn't finish the play. In the 102nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Landazuri's goalkeeper Lucio Durango, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
