Luis Bernia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Durango read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Luis Bernia kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Tonio Falco struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Vidal Barcenas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landazuri. Teofilio Cando hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Luis Bernia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilio Cando hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Tonio Falco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidal Barcenas having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Luis Bernia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Landazuri's Lucio Durango was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the game, José-Manuel Ruedas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huambalo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Landazuri the free kick. After a rather tough play, Huambalo's José-Manuel Ruedas got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tonio Falco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walter Villaurreta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 41st playminute.
If Tonio Falco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonio Falco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vidal Barcenas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bernia in the 65th minute of play forced Landazuri's goalkeeper Lucio Durango to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Luis Bernia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Durango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Villaurreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidal Barcenas having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Huambalo's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Villaurreta came free, but Vidal Barcenas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Villaurreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidal Barcenas having to interfere. Walter Villaurreta scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vidal Barcenas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Bono during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fricson Heyros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lucio Durango made a huge save. Ortiz Cunyat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Durango having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Walter Villaurreta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vidal Barcenas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Huambalo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Landazuri.
